Kathu Update #3

In advance, Blackberry phones, even the 9700 Bold has a crappy camera, this is the best photo I could do without my camera. So apologies from me.

Part model, part canvas, this is what happens when you ride a CBR...

Although quite a pleasant chap for someone who had to sit down so long without moving too much.
This is Big Mamma, this is her one arm... Those 2 mushrooms are hers!
This is why you fear Big Mamma, after getting her 2 shrooms, she wanted her eagle with the American flag. One after the other! Amazing woman.
Adding to someone with so many awesome tattoos is quite intimidating, though his taste in art makes it impossible to say no to.
The brother of T.C Coetzee this is his way to remember his brother. He had a devout love for Playboy, in his memory his brother got a playboy logo to remember him by.
Getting anyone's name on your body is usually referred to as a 'Kiss of Death', for good reason. Though being together for more than 5 years and married for another 5? Well let's hope for the best.
Simple yet effective, this is why I love tattooing the variety of everything out there.
This will probably be one of the more memorable sessions, not the design but her nerves! Never have I had someone so shy and so nervous. Though she sat through her session with remarkable ease.

Kathu Update #2

Kathu Update #2

Nothing quite as fitting as a rose for a butterfly. The butterfly had some colour added to him, while the rose on the right was a new piece.
For his 1st tattoo, he goes large enough.
Originally we met at a rally, and after all this time he finally decided what he wanted.
She came in with a butterfly with broken lines, and no symmetry.  She wanted it to get it changed into something less shocking.

We decided on using pink and green with the initials and date of birth of her son.
In memory of T.C Coetzee his sister dedicated this to him, painfully awaiting the final result. She once again took it without blinking.
Who does not like Boondock saints? This is homage to one of the best films ever made.

Kathu Update #1

Here are a few updates of my last Kathu trip. I will be planning a trip in that direction soon enough again. Just let me know if you want an appointment.

I heard that you can wear your heart on your sleeve, but wearing a Bible verse on you bicep? Different, but interesting to say the least.
This was a free form tattoo, instead of just 3 dull stars it now has a bit more added to it.
Step #1: The outlining... Unfortunately due to excessive bleeding could not be finished up.

Next up would be giving the Spider it's deserved attention to detail.
This is a raw shot, unfortunately the colour is not really out yet. Will post an updated one ASAP.
Giving it a tad more colour.
 More fox...
A small lost dragonfly. Seems so lonely.
A very interesting dream catcher, all the beads have UV ink added into it. So the moment it enters a black light area, the beads start off with an ominous glow.
