Wrecking Worcester

After our Rock the River experience we went to Worcester to visit a few friends from College, really good to see them again, especially since they are about 780km away. Well since all the guys were out we chatted and it all happened in one morning. Me being potentially the Evil Influence.

One of the most popular designs, it seems this design has traveled pretty much everywhere. Still enough to enjoy.

This is what happens when Dad is out to work. Not his daughter but his wife. The shading around the stars will fade giving it much more of a glowing appearance.

This is peer pressure from mom. Though braver than her brother.

This was a custom design of just a few things she liked.

Pain in Plettenberg Bay

During our December trip we went round to Plettenberg bay for a bit of a social time. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, with green forests, the ocean close by and that fresh breeze. A getaway I can recommend to anyone.

Moby Dick's also have fast service, good food and a great view.

Arriving in Plett, after a grueling 12 hour drive in a small uncomfortable bloody Uno, this was the 1st tattoo that we kicked off with. His taste should be quite apparent.

A combination of two butterflies. A tad of colour and a dash of some feminine motifs.

It seems that the guys in Plett share one thing, affinity for tattoos on the more sensitive flesh, these two guys are living proof.
Here is the other bit of proof... Africa, but not quite. This was one piece that was a squat load of fun to do. I love the design and the perseverance.
A more popular move lately, she wanted something like rosemary with a crucifix, minus the crucifix and with an African charm. This was a freehand design and this is what we ended up with.

Christmas with blood and ink.

December started, a few people still believed that this is the time to get some ink, I happily obliged. A friend left to live in Namibia again... Another's mom died a while ago, and his wife designed a tattoo to commemorate her.

Here is what I have been up to in December.

A friend that left for Namibia, this is her design for her Gemini star sign.
A cover up of a few tattoos, this is actually the 3rd time he had his hand tattooed, but the 1st time I did it.
Fox logo that fits under my thumb, small and well hidden. The outlining was done 1st, on the Gemsbok rally in 2011, she just recently gave it a bit more detail.
A weird obsession with the crucifix, seem that it will never disappear. This is another Tribal one, about 5cm / 2 inches in height.
This tribal sun, was for a friends sister in law. The best part of all not a single expression on her face changed as the needles deposited the drops on ink beneath her skin. She has one of the greatest skins for tattooing that I have seen in a hell of a long time, can't wait to see her again, that is if the addiction got it's claws around her.
A homage to his mother who died a few years ago. The design was drawn up by his wife. Hopefully he decides to expand on this sooner than later.

Seems that a bit of order might make things a bit easier, every Wednesday 1pm ( South African Time) I will upload some of the work I did during that time, this gives me enough time to schedule my updates ahead of release.

Let me know what your feelings are towards this @ inkhammer@gmail.com.

Happy Late new year!

A happy new year to all, sorry for the late post, have been in the Plettenberg bay area, with 0 Internet coverage, from there we went for a very social event at Rock the River just outside of Cape Town, a hell of a festival!

After that chaos struck, with a dead car battery, a dead blackberry battery and a snapped laptop charger :(

So things are hectic at the moment, thankfully visiting a few friends in Cape Town, with Internet access and working computers.

I did a few tattoos on Plett, but it is impossible to upload anything for the moment, I should be back in the Upington area in a week or two.

Best wishes for 2012! Hopefully all the Mayans are wrong!
